Reading Sufficiency Act Requirements

Each school district board of education shall annually publish on the school website the following information on the prior school year:

a.       Policies and procedures of the school district on student retention and promotion:

Policy 6475 – Student Retention
Policy 6480 – Promotion and Retention

b.      The number and percentage of all students in grades 3 through 10 performing at the unsatisfactory level on the reading portion of the statewide criterion-referenced tests:

3rd Grade  – 9 students (8%)
4th Grade – 10 students (9%)
5th Grade – 8 students (7%)
6th Grade – 9 students (8%)
7th Grade – 21 students  (17%)
8th Grade – 15 students (9%)
9th Grade - N/A
10th Grade – 8 students (7%)

c.       The number and percentage of all students retained in grades 3 through 10:
