Mrs. Whitehouse’s third grade class had fun this week learning about multiplication. They practiced the commutative property by rolling dice and got to end the week with a special treat of cookies and milk after completing some cookie multiplication.









Teachers had a little fun last week with Wacky Pants Wednesday!



Our scientists and engineers put their problem-solving skills to the test in Ms. McNiel’s class. 😆 Students worked together to design and build the tallest towers they could using only spaghetti noodles and marshmallows.

Mrs. Root’s and Mrs. Veit’s classes learning about force and motion through experimenting with different amounts of force. The object was to use the right amount of force to get the ball and egg to drop from the tube into the cup of water.









4C is practicing rounding by cracking “The Case of the Stolen Books” mystery. After solving the problems to find the clues, we discovered who stole the books out of the library, where they took the books, and which books they stole.

Mrs. Whitehouse’s 3rd grade class had a great time kicking off our first week of science! We spent some time learning exactly what science is by observing real-world phenomena.

Mrs. Taff's third grade class has been busy learning about each other and team building this week!










The first full week at Collins Elementary has been a hot one! With heat indexes climbing we had to get creative with inside recess at times. 5th grade made the most of it with a paper airplane tournament.
Our lost and found has started, we just never dreamed it would be with a chicken! If you dropped off your kiddo and lost some poultry too, you might come check the bus loop. Bus Loop Chicken has been hanging around a few days, someone come get him before Mrs. Root tries to make him a classroom pet!!!
