Students in the Careers class at BMS have been studying the manufacturing unit for the last 3 weeks. They have learned about lean manufacturing by assembling LEGO airplanes. They also learned about CAD (computer-aided design) and created several 3D projects in TinkerCad. They even printed their own keychains with their names on them. And finally, they learned about soldering & welding. They worked so hard & soldered their own personal jitterbugs together. They also heard from guest speaker Brian Vanzant about the different types of welding & the jobs available in that industry.
