Meet our new staff.
Cody Phillips is a fourth grade teacher this year. He will be teaching science and social studies. Cody has been teaching since January of 2024. He previously taught STEM at Tulsa Public Schools. He has one daughter Ella Diane Phillips. Ceremonial dances and Native American culture is something that he holds near and dear to his heart. Cody enjoys hunting, fishing, fixing things, and hanging out with his little family. His goals for this year are to develop as a teacher and to teach and guide children each and everyday.

Meet our new staff.
Ashley Whitehouse joins our staff as a third grade teacher. She has been a teacher since 2009. She has taught second grade, kindergarten , 7th-10th math, and 8th-9th language. This is her first year as a third grade teacher. Her favorite part of teaching is watching students grow in the classroom and enjoy learning. She is looking forward to getting to know each student and learning their personalities. Ashley enjoys spending time with family, going to church, and the occasional pickleball game.

Meet our new staff.
Katie Holdaway is a fourth grade teacher at Collins Elementary this year. We are so excited to have her join us. Mrs. Holdaway graduated with a bachelors in Elementary Education from East Central University in 1999 and from Arkansas State University with a masters in Curriculum and Instruction in 2013. The upcoming school year will be her twenty-fifth year teaching. She is married and has two great children, Kaleb (22) and Alexia (19). She is an endorsed chaplain and volunteer with the Oklahoma Baptist Disaster Relief. She enjoys volunteering, coloring, swimming, and spending time with her family.
We welcome Katie Holdaway to the Pirate Family.

BPS Meet and Greet is Tuesday, August 6th from 4-6 pm at all sites. Additionally, 6th Grade Transition Camp is also on Tuesday from 8-11:30 am and Freshman Connection is "come and go" is from 8:30 -11 am.

Summer Basketball Skills Camp is June 6th and 7th from 8 am to 12 pm for boys in grades 3rd-8th. The cost is $55. The camp features 1990 OK Super 5

Please sign the sign in sheet. Pets are welcome but must be kept in carriers. State testing begins next week at Collins. Fifth graders will take the writing test on Thursday, April 18th. They will test in reading on Monday, April 22nd and Tuesday, April 23rd. They will test in math on Wednesday, April 24th and Thursday, April 25th. The science test will be on Monday, April 29th and Tuesday, April 30th.

Get your Collins yearbook ordered! The last day to reserve a yearbook is April 13th The cost is $35.00 and can be paid at the Collins office or by using the scan code on the attached flyer.

Parent/Teacher Conferences are next week! Conferences will be held on Tuesday, March 12th and Thursday, March 14th from 4-7pm. You can contact your child's school to schedule a time.
