Mrs. Beard's Sweet Valentines!

Sweet Maggie asked if she could bring a Valentine's surprise for all 500 students and of course I said yes! Maggie is a senior this year with big dreams to become a lawyer one day. Maggie attended Edison and all of her teachers think the world of her! Thank you for thinking of us! We can't wait to see all the great things you will do! ❤️

Our teachers LOVE supporting our kids in all of their extracurricular activities!

If I know what love is, it is because of you!

Love is in the air in Mrs. Mattox's PreK!

It's Black History Month! In the media center, students learned about how enslaved peoples who were fleeing north would use secret codes to tell each other where to go and how to get there. We also learned that sometimes people spread messages using songs, like Follow the Drinking Gourd. We created our own secret messages!

Mrs. Smythe brought her friends Sherlock and Doctor Watson to the library to talk to students about nocturnal animals .Our friend, Doctor Watson, did not love having his daily beauty sleep interrupted, but he was a good sport. Each student got to pet him and look up close at his quills!

It's National School Counseling Week and we sure love ours! I think this quote from Maya Angelou is perfect for Mrs. Wayland :
“My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some
compassion, some humor and some style.” She loves your kids with all her heart and she keeps us laughing every day! Thank you, Mrs. Wayland, for all you do to help us THRIVE!

It's the 101st Day of School! Mrs. Wayland brought her Dalmatian imposter, Duke and Mrs. Adams brought her Dalmatian imposter, Millie! I hear our PreK is overrun with puppies! I wonder if Cruella will make an appearance? Hide the puppies!
