🎭💜💛💚 Laissez les bons temps rouler! 💚💛💜🎭
Today Edison turned into a mini New Orleans as we celebrated Mardi Gras in the most festive way! 🎉
Our amazing teachers went all out — beads, boas, masks, and big smiles everywhere you looked! The teacher’s lounge was decked out in purple, green, and gold, and the halls felt like a parade route straight from Mardi Gras. ✨🎷
And let’s talk about the SWEETEST part… 🍩
We enjoyed delicious king cake donuts — complete with the tiny king baby! 👑
From festive decor to lots of laughter, it was a day full of fun, community, and just a sprinkle of Louisiana magic. 💫
Big thank you to our teachers for making learning (and celebrating!) so memorable. 💜

💕🍫 A Sweet Surprise for Our Sweetest Staff! 🍓🍰

Today, our amazing teachers and staff were treated to something extra special to make their Valentine’s Day a little sweeter — a delicious chocolate fountain filled with all the goodies! 🍫✨

Fresh fruit, fluffy marshmallows, pound cake, and crunchy pretzels were all ready for dipping and enjoying. 🍓🍌🍰🥨 It was a small token of appreciation for the BIG love, dedication, and heart our teachers pour into their classrooms every single day. ❤️

We are so grateful for everything they do to support, inspire, and care for our students. We hope this sweet treat reminded them just how much they are appreciated!

Happy Valentine’s Day to the best teachers and staff around! 💕🍫

Edison students kicked off Black History Month with a powerful and inspiring presentation at the Freeland Center featuring Albert Bostick, a Governor’s Arts Award winner and recipient of a State Citation of Excellence for his work in education. An accomplished storyteller, playwright, actor, and director, Mr. Bostick shared engaging stories—including Why Mosquitoes Buzz in People’s Ears, tales of Anansi the Spider, and the legend of how the sun, moon, and stars found their place in the sky. His message was clear and uplifting: all children can learn once they remove “I can’t” from their vocabulary. He closed the experience with a heartfelt lullaby his grandmother once sang to him after storytelling—leaving our students captivated, inspired, and reminded of the power of stories to teach, connect, and uplift. ✨📚
