Mrs. Mattox's Great Turtle Race!
It's Pancake Day for the Lion's Club on Saturday, March 2nd. Adult tickets are $9 and children 12 and under are $4.50. Pancake Day will be hosted at our Edison Cafeteria. All proceeds benefit improving vision in our community.
Dr. Chip Cooper came by to invite all students to participate in the 2024 Wildflower Run. Workouts begin after Spring Break and students that attend workouts and the run will be eligible to win a bike. This year a special scholarship will be established to honor the life of Shannon Hilburn. Students in even grade levels will get a purple bracelet, students in odd grade levels will get a gold bracelet. Every kid with a bracelet that crosses the finish line on race day will have $5 donated to the scholarship fund. We are excited for this scholarship opportunity that will impact Bristow students for years to come!

OERB Petro Pro Abigail Wendt taught Mrs. Hinson's 2nd grade class about geology, seismic waves that are created from a Thumper truck, oil materials that are in plastic for example: toothbrush, fingernail polish things with plastic and rubber, derricks and the process of drilling Oil & Gas out of the ground and oil well safety rules. Thank you OERB for providing this engaging experience for our students!
Barn Hill Preserve's exotic animal education program visited Edison this morning! Students learned a little biology, ecology, environmental stewardship, responsible pet ownership and life science! Students were able to ask questions and get pictures!

Mrs. Hinson's 2nd grade class hosted a Tea and Cookies party with Mrs. Groom's Family and Consumer Science class. We love it when our former students come back to mentor our students! We love seeing them back in our building!
Mark you calendars and shine up your boots for the Boots and Bling Spring Gala hosted by the Bristow Education Foundation. The gala is Friday, March 1, 2024 from 7:00-10 :00 pm at The Headquarters Venue at Bell Cattle Company. There will be dinner, live entertainment, and a silent auction. Valentine's Day was a day full of learning in Mrs. Groves' Class. They created monsters to love, inspired by the book Love Monster. They created hearts during a STEM lesson and check out those beautiful heart hairdos! From parties to engaging lessons, love was in the air! We hope you had a great Valentine's Day! ❤️Thank you for sharing your most loved children with us! They fill our hearts with joy!
Central Tech's Open House- This Sunday, Feb 18th from 1:00-4:00. They will have lot's of give-a-ways, free t-shirts, free health fair, free car show, and tons of activities! Hope to see you there!

100th Day in the Baker Bunch Classroom was fun! We did 100 cup stack, 100 pattern block creations, 100 linking cube creations, and roll dice to race to 100 were just a few fun things we did. Happy 100th Day of School!!!!
