From BHS Teacher of the Year to District Teacher of the Year, there is no one more deserving than Ms. Vasser. The passion, patience, and dedication she pours into her students and classes are truly incredible. As a Special Education teacher, she spends countless hours ensuring every student’s needs are met and that they feel supported, valued, and successful. Bristow High School students continue to make their mark through student voice and leadership! Last month Kolten Patton took the lead in bringing meaningful conversations to life on The Point Podcast, securing and conducting interviews with Oklahoma House Speaker Kyle Hilbert and education leader Dr. Dan Hamlin. Through these student-led interviews, they tackled important topics like school funding, CareerTech opportunities, workforce development, early literacy, and the impact of strong teachers in the classroom. Even more impressive, they showed that student voices can truly reach and influence state-level leadership. Their work highlights the power of student media, real-world learning, and the opportunities available through CareerTech programs. Shoutout to Kolten Patton and Larry Barcenas for representing Bristow and making us proud! 💜💛🏴‍☠️

This year’s camps include exciting opportunities where students can:

Last week at Central Tech two Bristow High School students in the Digital Media Program; Larry Barcenas and Kolton Patton had the incredible opportunity to interview a special guest on their student-led podcast: Governor Kevin Stitt! In the Digital Media class, students lead the entire production process of planning, producing, and executing the podcast while showcasing their skills with a high-profile guest. This was an incredible opportunity and a huge moment for the Digital Media Class. We are proud of our students!!!💜💛🏴‍☠️

I have created flyers for middle school students that include QR codes to apply for select classes with limited enrollment. 👀👇🏻

👗We are excited to be adding a brand-new Fashion Lab to our Family & Consumer Sciences classroom!
This dedicated space will allow fashion students to:
✔ Learn fashion design and construction skills
✔ Create projects throughout the year
✔ Showcase their work in our end-of-year Fashion Show

Because space is limited for the MS and Fashion classes, students must apply. We are looking for students who want to grow their skills and make the most of their time at school. These are classes I would have loved to be part of as a student, and I’m so excited our kids now have this opportunity!
