We are proud to celebrate Becky Busch for being named Bristow Middle School’s Teacher of the Year! With over 14 years of experience, Becky brings energy, passion, and heart into everything she does as a Physical Education and Health teacher.
Becky creates a classroom where every student belongs and participates. Through engaging, active learning and creative adaptations, she ensures all students can grow, succeed, and feel valued—whether they’re playing, coaching, or leading.
Her commitment goes far beyond the gym. Becky builds strong relationships by showing up for her students in and out of school, sponsors student council, coaches multiple sports, and brings the community into her classroom through meaningful partnerships.
Known for her big high-fives, contagious school spirit, and dedication to creating a positive culture, Becky reminds us all that education is about more than content—it’s about connection, character, and care.

This week, we want to give a huge shoutout to Mrs. Plum and Mrs. Ponder, who do so much more than their job titles could ever capture. They are listeners, encouragers, problem-solvers, advocates, and safe spaces for our students—often all in the same day.
Whether they’re helping students navigate big feelings, supporting families, or partnering with teachers to help kids succeed, their care and commitment never go unnoticed. Our school is a better place because of their hearts, their patience, and their dedication to our students.

Reminder, Bristow Public Schools will be in session tomorrow, January 30th as a snow make up day. We will also be in session next Friday, February 6th for our second make up day.
There will be no school Tuesday, January 27, 2026 due to road conditions. We will make up both Monday and Tuesday on Friday, January 30, 2026 and Friday, February 6, 2026.

The Central Tech Careers class has been learning about jobs in the Healthcare and Human Services career clusters.
Students have been able to participate in amazing hands-on activities to learn job skills, as well as valuable life skills. In healthcare, students learned how to perform adult and infant CPR and take vitals such as temperature, heart rate, pulse ox, and blood pressure.
In human services, the students were also introduced to cosmetology and infant care. During our cosmetology unit, they each received their own mannequin and learned how to section the hair, use palm shearers, perform a straight cut, and style. They wrapped up the cluster with infant care, where the students learned how to pick up a baby, change a diaper, swaddle, and bathe a newborn.
It’s been an exciting few weeks!
