Students at BMS are always willing to pitch in and help! Our school updated some rooms with 112 new desks this year and the mountain of cardboard was picked up for recycling. We also have students that help carry boxes to other buildings and willing to help any way they can! We are thankful for our students who are service-minded people!

7th Grade is on Fire at BMS!
7th grade Writing Class has been learning the procedures and expectations of the classroom. In preparation for the test, this activity forced the students to review the material.
Students were divided into teams and assigned specific roles & responsibilities. Each team was given a scenario in which a character was not following the procedures or expectations of Mrs. Edens's classroom. Team members had to highlight evidence, identify the violation, and write an explanatory paragraph of what the character SHOULD have done. Students used their Guided Notes to help them.

This event is tomorrow! Head out for a good time with the kids, get some free school supplies, and enjoy the different trucks.

Samantha Thomas is the Middle School Teacher of the Year. She teaches 8th grade reading. Samantha believes that love is an essential foundation in her classroom. Her students know that regardless of their actions, she still believes in their self worth and loves them. She lets her students know that she is also learning from them. She wants her students to be contributing members in our community and tries to instill work ethic in their lives. We are proud to have Samantha as a Bristow teacher.
