BPS will soon have BusRight in place for all of our buses that transport students from home and school. This system will allow parents of students who ride our buses the ability to get real time GPS and transportation updates right from an app. Parents who have students who ride a bus can expect an email with directions on how to download the app. The email will only be sent to parents who have children who ride the bus. BPS is excited to provide this platform to our parents!

HAPPY PARAPROFESSIONAL DAY to Mr. Morquecho, Mr. Green, and Mr. Poff!! May you be proud of the work you do, the person you are, and the difference you make. We are happy to have you at BMS💜💛

Congratulations to Chante Pitts for being awarded Middle School Support Professional of the Year.
One of her many nominators said, "Chante is an asset to BMS. She stays organized and busy keeping our school clean and safe. Her positive attitude and school spirit are always on display."
Thank you for being All In, Chante!

The Middle School Book Fair is open for business! It is open all week of March 10-13 as well as staying open late Tuesday during Student Led Conferences.
Parents and students can browse here: https://bookfairs.scholastic.com/bf/bristowmiddleschool

Our annual spring BMS student-led conferences will kickoff on Tues. and Thurs. from 4 - 7. We love having our students lead their conferences and showcase their work to their parents or guardians. They do self assessments about their learning and behaviors as well. Teacher evaluations are always interesting for parents to see too. We appreciate our parent support so much. As always, parents can call our office to schedule a private PT if needed. Have a great weekend Pirates!

Muskogee Creek Nation Ace program visited Bristow Middle School. Our JOM students played a friendly game of stickball and learned about its history.

Spring is coming and that means our student-led conferences are almost here! At BMS, we host a student-led conference at our spring PT conferences days with parents or guardians on March 11 and March 13 from 4:00 - 7:00. We believe it is important for students to have opportunities to showcase their education and empower them to take ownership of it as well.
You should receive an invitation from your student soon. It has a suggested time, but come when you can if the time doesn't work for you. If you would like a traditional Parent/Teacher conference with teachers, you can call and schedule those with our office as well.

Students in Ms. Capps' 6th grade science class are working on their "scientist wanted" posters for the student-led conferences coming March 11 and 13. Parents will be getting an invitation next week to our SLC in the mail and parents can also call the school to schedule individual conferences as needed.

Thank you, Mr. Scot Thompson and Mr. John Edens from the VFW for offering an amazing writing experience for our students, The Patriot Pen essay contest. Cambri Cantrell won 1st at both local and district levels and then took 3rd at the state level winning a total of $525 in prize money. Thank you Mrs. Edens and Mr. Ketchum for utilizing your class time for an opportunity to "link learning to life."

BMS wants to thank the Creek County Retired Educators for thinking of us and blessing us with some snacks and supplies. It away feels good to be appreciated.
