Spring Break is next week!

Congratulations to Chante Pitts for being awarded Middle School Support Professional of the Year.
One of her many nominators said, "Chante is an asset to BMS. She stays organized and busy keeping our school clean and safe. Her positive attitude and school spirit are always on display."
Thank you for being All In, Chante!

The Middle School Book Fair is open for business! It is open all week of March 10-13 as well as staying open late Tuesday during Student Led Conferences.
Parents and students can browse here: https://bookfairs.scholastic.com/bf/bristowmiddleschool
Parents can also set up an eWallet for their student instead of sending cash here: https://bookfairs.scholastic.com/content/fairs/how-ewallet-works.html?fairId=6103777

Our annual spring BMS student-led conferences will kickoff on Tues. and Thurs. from 4 - 7. We love having our students lead their conferences and showcase their work to their parents or guardians. They do self assessments about their learning and behaviors as well. Teacher evaluations are always interesting for parents to see too. We appreciate our parent support so much. As always, parents can call our office to schedule a private PT if needed. Have a great weekend Pirates!

Muskogee Creek Nation Ace program visited Bristow Middle School. Our JOM students played a friendly game of stickball and learned about its history.

Spring is coming and that means our student-led conferences are almost here! At BMS, we host a student-led conference at our spring PT conferences days with parents or guardians on March 11 and March 13 from 4:00 - 7:00. We believe it is important for students to have opportunities to showcase their education and empower them to take ownership of it as well.
You should receive an invitation from your student soon. It has a suggested time, but come when you can if the time doesn't work for you. If you would like a traditional Parent/Teacher conference with teachers, you can call and schedule those with our office as well.

Students in Ms. Capps' 6th grade science class are working on their "scientist wanted" posters for the student-led conferences coming March 11 and 13. Parents will be getting an invitation next week to our SLC in the mail and parents can also call the school to schedule individual conferences as needed.

Thank you, Mr. Scot Thompson and Mr. John Edens from the VFW for offering an amazing writing experience for our students, The Patriot Pen essay contest. Cambri Cantrell won 1st at both local and district levels and then took 3rd at the state level winning a total of $525 in prize money. Thank you Mrs. Edens and Mr. Ketchum for utilizing your class time for an opportunity to "link learning to life."

BMS wants to thank the Creek County Retired Educators for thinking of us and blessing us with some snacks and supplies. It away feels good to be appreciated.

We are beyond proud to share that our team has been honored with the Wilbur Gouge Honors Team Award at the Challenge Bowl meet on February 14! 💜🏆 This prestigious award is given to the team that best exemplifies the true spirit of the games—demonstrating respect for tribal leadership, acknowledging elders, honoring their peers, showing grace in both victory and defeat, and playing for the love of learning.
This recognition speaks volumes about the character, dedication, and heart of our students. They represented our school with pride, showing that true success is measured not just by wins, but by the respect, integrity, and knowledge they carry with them.
Please join us in celebrating these incredible students and their outstanding achievement! 🎉👏 #ChallengeBowl #WilburGougeHonorsTeam #ProudMoment

Our Middle School Teacher of the Year was honored at the Chamber Banquet last night alongside the other Teachers of the Year. Congratulations Mrs. Deshazo!

Didn't the 6th grade STEM students do a great job on these tables?! They made them in Mrs. Wilhite's Stem exploratory class to practice reading actual construction instructions, utilize teamwork, and overcome obstacles and frustration. Now our students have a place to appropriately visit during passing period and indoor recess!

Bristow Middle School is happy to announce our Terrific Pirates for the months of January and February. Go Pirates!
