Our first graders had a stem challenge to work with a partner to build the tallest tower that would hold the most letters! It was a great way to end our alphabet review!

One of the coolest things to see at ECC is when our older students choose to spend time with our younger ones. 💙 In second grade, students earn rewards for their hard work—and some choose the special reward of coming back to the younger classes to read stories. 📚✨ It’s such a sweet interaction watching our kids connect across grade levels and seeing how much the little ones look up to the “big kids.”

🎉📚 Alphabet Party Fun in 1st Grade! 📚🎉
Our first graders have been busy reviewing the alphabet and wrapped it up today with a super fun Alphabet Party! 🎈💡
Students came dressed to represent different letters — from A for Alien to Z for Zookeeper, and everything in between! 🛸👨🌾 The creativity was off the charts and the cuteness overload is REAL! 💖
Way to go, first graders! Learning has never looked so fun! 🥳🔤✨ #AlphabetParty #FirstGradeFun #ABCcelebration #LearningIsFun

Meet Your Library Media Specialist – Adrienne Lee-Williams!
Adrienne is thrilled to be joining Edison Elementary as your new Library Media Specialist. She’s passionate about connecting students with stories, sparking curiosity, and helping them become confident, creative, and capable users of information and technology.
Adrienne holds a Bachelor’s of Art in Communication and a Master’s in Library Media and Information Technology. Before stepping into the library world, she taught Drama, Speech, and Debate—so don’t be surprised if you catch her bringing a little theatrical flair to storytime!
Over the years, she has had the privilege of working in both public and school libraries, as well as serving as a reading tutor. These experiences have deepened her love for literacy and her belief that libraries are essential spaces for imagination, exploration, and growth.
Outside of school, she enjoys reading (of course!), ceramics, painting, gardening, voice acting, and working on cars—there’s usually a project car or two in her driveway at any given time.
Adrienne can’t wait to get to know our Edison students and families, and to help every child find books they love and tools they can use to thrive. Let’s make this a great year in the library!
