Our students were presented with a BIG reading challenge! If they read 500 books, Mrs. Shelton has to kiss a pig! They also wanted Mrs. Smythe to kiss a pig, so we raised the challenge to 700 books! Kids read books all day.... and they told me all day that I would have to kiss a pig! Guess what? I'm kissing a pig tomorrow!!!!

Mrs. Baker's class had a very special guest reader! Way to go, Brantley!

Guest Reader Andee Cooper is the author of Sometimes I Get the Wiggles, a story about her son who has epilepsy. It’s a great story that educates kids on how not to not make fun of someone but be a superhero and help. Thank you for sharing your story with us!

We are so thankful to Alexis Hilbert, school board member and mom, for being a special guest reader in Mrs. Lomenick's and Mrs. Baker's Kindergarten classes! Your time and dedication to supporting our students and community is greatly appreciated!

Mrs. Dunbar's 2nd Grade Class read Rosie Revere Engineer, learned about what engineers do, and had to build and test a flying machine today. This STEM lesson is a perfect testament to why Mrs. Dunbar is our Teacher of the Year! As Teacher of the Year, this lesson was video taped as an exemplary model lesson to help new teachers. We are proud of Mrs. Dunbar and excited for the opportunities she gives her students each day!

Mrs. Brewer's Kindergarten Class had a special guest reader this morning. Ana Davis Landsaw is a 2013 Bristow High School graduate. She is also running for State Superintendent in 2026!
