Pre-K students will soon begin their “Milkweed in the Classroom” project right after spring break! Today we had a special guest speaker, Laura, the Oklahoma & Southern Kansas Regional Field Representative for Pheasants Forever & Quail Forever, visit our classes. She talked with our Pre-K students and T-1 about the importance of pollination and helped them learn about the many pollinators that help our environment, including bees, butterflies, insects, and other beneficial bugs. The students loved learning how these tiny creatures play a big role in helping plants grow and keeping our ecosystems healthy. We appreciate Laura taking the time to come share her knowledge with our students and help kick off our upcoming classroom project! 🌼🐝🦋🌱

Mrs. Keli’s and Mrs. Plum’s classes had a Seuss-tastic time celebrating Dr. Seuss! 📚💚 After reading the classic story Green Eggs and Ham, the students rolled up their sleeves and made their own green eggs and ham. The kids had so much fun trying the silly snack inspired by the book! Just like in the story, many of them discovered they liked it — “Yes! I like green eggs and ham!” 🥚💚 It was a fun and tasty way to bring reading to life in the classroom! 📖✨

Thank You, Bristow Noon Lions Club! 👓 Today, our Pre-K students received free vision screenings provided by the Bristow Noon Lions Club — a service they have generously offered our students for several years. Using specialized photographic screening equipment, Lions Club members screened students (with parent consent) for possible vision concerns, including farsightedness, astigmatism, and other eye conditions. Early detection plays an important role in helping children succeed both in and out of the classroom. We are incredibly thankful for the Bristow Noon Lions Club’s continued support of our students and families. Their dedication — including helping children obtain glasses when needed — truly makes a difference in our community!

Today our kindergarten and T1 classes had the most wonderful field trip to the Jasmine Moran Children’s Museum — and it truly could not have been a more perfect day! The weather was absolutely beautiful, with sunshine and just the right temperature for exploring. We were able to enjoy time both outside and inside, which made the day even more special. The hands-on learning opportunities were endless — from imaginative role play to interactive exhibits that sparked creativity and critical thinking. It was learning in its most joyful form. Another highlight was getting to spend quality time with our kindergarten and T1 families. Field trips like this remind us how special it is to partner together in our children’s learning. Watching families explore alongside their kids, sharing laughs and discoveries, made the day even more meaningful. Thank you parents and family members for coming with us today💛

✨ Teaching + Teamwork + The Letter T = Total Success! ✨ Mrs. Grooms’ Leadership class with FCCLA had an assessment to create toys that teach — and the timing couldn’t have been more perfect! Our Pre-K students in Mrs. Mattox’s class are learning all about the letter T, so Mrs. Grooms partnered with them for some hands-on, interactive fun! Her students designed 5 different learning games that focused on teaching skills in creative, engaging ways. Our little learners rotated through each game, practicing different learning skills while building confidence, communication, and teamwork. 🎲🧩 There is something so special about older students creating meaningful learning experiences for our youngest ECC Pirates. The smiles, encouragement, and excitement in the room said it all! Way to go, FCCLA and Pre-K! 💛 Learning is always better together!

☕✨ T is for TEA PARTY! ✨☕ You just can’t get any better than this! Our teachers are creating the sweetest, most memorable moments for our students. 💛 Mrs. Watts’ class wrapped up Letter T week in the most terrific way — with a Tea Party for T! 🎉 Students came dressed in their fanciest attire, ready for an afternoon full of tiny cups, big smiles, and lots of giggles. There’s something so special about watching our little learners practice manners, friendship, and fun — all while celebrating a letter of the alphabet. These are the moments they’ll remember. 🫖💐 We are so proud of the joy happening inside our classrooms every single day! #ECCPirates #LetterT #TeaPartyFun #MakingMemories

🧸🚗 Pre-K Takes on Route 66! 🚗🧸 Mrs. Mattox’s and Mrs. Watts’ classes took a short walk down the road to visit the Bristow Route 66 Toy Museum — a hidden treasure right here in our community! Owned by Brett Fadley and Lynette Fadley, the museum features nearly 1,000 toys on display, some dating back to the 1930s. The Fadleys have been collecting for over 45 years! Mr. Fadley even shared his favorite childhood toy — a stuffed dog named Oscar he received as a Christmas gift around 1965. ❤️ Our students searched for the smallest toy, biggest toy, and oldest toy as part of our Letter T learning. What a fun way to explore history right in our own backyard! #ECCPirates #LetterT #Route66Learning #CommunityConnections
