🍕 P is for Pizza! 🍕 This week in Pre-K, we’ve been learning all about the letter P, and Mrs. Plum’s class had a perfectly delicious way to practice! The students made their very own personal pizzas, working on letter recognition, fine motor skills, and following directions—all while having tons of fun. Learning is always better when it’s hands-on (and tasty)! 😄👏

Reminder, Bristow Public Schools will be in session tomorrow, January 30th as a snow make up day. We will also be in session next Friday, February 6th for our second make up day.

Mrs. Balenti’s class has been busy measuring around the classroom… with mittens! 🧤📏 The students explored measurement in a hands-on way by using mittens to see how long different classroom items were. So much learning, problem-solving, and fun happening as they practiced early math skills together! We love seeing curiosity and creativity in action at ECC! 💜

There will be no school Tuesday, January 27, 2026 due to road conditions. We will make up both Monday and Tuesday on Friday, January 30, 2026 and Friday, February 6, 2026.

V is for Volcano! 🌋 Kindergarten had a blast learning about the letter V this week in Mrs. Baker’s class! The students got hands-on and creative by making their very own volcanoes—learning letters, science, and having explosive fun all at once! 💥✨

Mrs.Balenti’s class was having a snowy good time! The kids made their very own cloud snow and had a blast squishing, scooping, and playing together. Over in Mrs. Mattoxox’s class, the fun continued with shaving-cream snow — soft, fluffy, and full of giggles! Hands-on sensory play like this sparks creativity, builds fine motor skills, and makes learning feel like pure fun. Snow day magic… minus the cold! ☁️❄️✨

Meet Ollie the Octopus 🐙💙 Pre-K is diving into Letter O this week! The kids are having a tentacle-tastic time seeing just how long they can make Ollie’s octopus arms while practicing those O skills. We’re stretching, counting, creating, and learning—all while having so much fun! Stay tuned to see how big Ollie grows! 🌊✨

☃️ Snow way! Mrs. Jones’ class whipped up some classroom snow and had a blast getting into the winter spirit. These little learners are all prepped and excited for a snowy weekend! ❄️✨

✨ From Monsters to Masterpieces! ✨ Last week, during letter M, Mrs. Mattox’s Pre-K class drew monsters 🧟‍♂️🎨 — and this week, those monsters came to LIFE! Our Pre-K students collaborated with the high school art class to transform their monster drawings into clay creations. Using clay, imagination, and teamwork, they turned their ideas into something truly special. 🖐️✨ We love seeing creativity grow and partnerships across grade levels—such a meaningful and memorable experience for everyone involved! 💚

✨ Pre-K Learning Fun This Week at ECC! Our Pre-K friends have been busy learning all about the letter N! 👉 Mrs. Mattox’s class got creative by making noodle necklaces while practicing fine motor skills and exploring things that start with N. 🍝💛 👉 Mrs. Mattox and Mrs. Watts’ class put their noses to work during a fun sensory activity! They smelled different scents, worked to match them up, and enjoyed exploring neon noodles for hands-on sensory play. 👃🌈 We love learning through play and engaging all our senses in Pre-K!

📚✨ Second graders stepping up in a BIG way! ✨📚 We love seeing our students grow in confidence and leadership! Today, one of our second graders took on the role of guest reader, sharing a story with younger friends. 💛 Moments like these build confidence, encourage responsibility, and show our younger students just how exciting reading can be. We are so proud of our second graders for being such wonderful role models! 🌟📖

❄️☃️ ECC has SNOW much fun! ☃️❄️ Our kindergarten and T-1 team s are trying really hard to bring on the snow! Mrs. Balenti’s class turned into little scientists as they created a blizzard in a jar, watching the “snowstorm” swirl right before their eyes. 🌨️🔬 Meanwhile, Mrs. Baker’s friends were busy building snowmen, playing in the snow, and crafting beautiful snowflakes—all without the cold fingers! ❄️🎨 Winter fun, hands-on learning, and lots of smiles filled our day! 💙✨

🎩 Mustache you a question… what letter are we learning?! It’s M of course! Our pre-K friends jumped right back into learning after winter break and rocked some mighty fine mustaches while mastering the letter M. Way to start the new year strong! 💪
