Mrs. Beard's class had pumpkin pie today, and it was the perfect little taste of fall! The kiddos enjoyed every bite and had so much fun trying this seasonal treat.

🍂 Pre-K Explores the Season of Fall! 🍁
Our Pre-K students got their hands busy as they learned all about the season of fall. They went outside to explore, observe, and collect nature’s beautiful colors. The children gathered leaves of all shapes and sizes, noticing the reds, yellows, oranges, and browns that make this season so special.
Back in the classroom, they used their collections for hands-on projects—building their own fall trees and sorting leaves by size: big, medium, and small. 🍁🌳
We love watching our students learn through exploration and play! 🍂✨

Today we want to give a big shout-out to Mrs. Brewer. Her classroom flooded last week, but she handled everything with so much calmness, grace, and strength. Her students were safe, cared for, and still had a great day because of her steady leadership.
We are so grateful for amazing teachers who turn challenges into moments of teamwork and positivity. 💛

This week, Pre-K explored the Letter I — and what better way to celebrate than with ICE CREAM! 🍦✨
They wrapped up their week with a special visit from our local ice cream truck, Barnyard Blizzard, and it was the sweetest surprise!
The rest of ECC joined in on the fun, and even Mr. Lomenick came out to enjoy the excitement. Smiles, sprinkles, and happy little faces everywhere — the perfect finish to our Letter I week! ❄️🍨💛
We love making learning memorable at ECC!

Mrs. Fruits’ pre-K class had an Incredible day exploring the letter Ii!
To make their learning even more exciting, they tried ice painting — the kids loved watching the colors melt and glide across their papers. It was a cool, creative way to bring the letter Ii to life! ❄️🎨
Our little learners are always having fun while they grow!

Kindergarten and 5th Grade Monster Collaboration 👿
In September, our Kindergarten and T1 students designed their own monsters on paper and wrote three words to describe them. Those imaginative designs were then sent to the art classes at Collins Elementary, where 5th grade students brought the monsters to life!
Today, the 5th graders visited to personally deliver each finished monster to its creator. Each Kindergarten and T1 student received their monster in a special gift bag labeled with their name and the name of the 5th grader who made it.
The visit was filled with excitement and smiles as the older students proudly shared their creations with our littles. It was a special moment for everyone—our Kindergarten teachers even got to reconnect with some of their former students, now thriving as 5th graders!

🍦 Ice Cream Truck Update! 🍦
The ice cream truck will be coming Friday instead of tomorrow for Pre-K, Kindergarten, and T1! Please make sure to send $1.00 with your child so they can enjoy a sweet treat. 😊

💜Our First Volunteers Are Here! 💜
We had our first volunteers show up today for our Meet & Greet at the Pre-K and Kindergarten building! Our students absolutely loved it!
If you’re interested—or know someone who might be—please text 918-740-1494 and we’ll get you on the schedule. You can volunteer one time, weekly, monthly, or whenever works best for you!
We love seeing our community come together to make our little pirates’ mornings extra special! ⚓️💛

The playground turned into lava today! 🔥 Our Pre-K kiddos had a blast playing The Floor is Lava during recess!

🇺🇸 We had a wonderful Veterans Day program today! 🇺🇸
Our students did an amazing job honoring the brave men and women who have served or are currently serving in our military. A heartfelt thank you to all of our veterans and active-duty service members for your courage, dedication, and sacrifice. We are so grateful for the time you’ve given to protect our freedom. ❤️💙

Pre-K and Kindergarten had a bubble-licious day at the Discovery Lab in Tulsa! 🫧
Students were amazed as they learned all about the science of bubbles during an exciting hands-on lab. Afterward, they explored the main play area—climbing through tunnels made entirely out of tape, experimenting with water and air, and discovering so many fun ways to learn through play. What an unforgettable day full of laughter, learning, and adventure! 💙✨

🐄 We had a “moo-velous” visit today! 🐄
Susie from Southwest Dairy Farmers and her cow, Dixie, came to ECC to teach our students all about the dairy industry! Students learned where milk comes from, how dairy farmers care for their cows, and why dairy products are an important part of a healthy diet.
It was such a fun and educational experience — our students loved meeting Dixie and learning firsthand about farm life and the hard work that goes into producing the milk we drink every day.
A big thank-you to Southwest Dairy Farmers for bringing this exciting lesson to our campus! 🥛🐮❤️

Mrs. Lomenick’s friends made the cutest little turkeys! 🦃
They’ll be taking them to a local convenience store to help decorate and spread some Thanksgiving cheer! 🍂🧡

Mrs. Beard’s class learned all about the digestive system today! 🧠💡 The students loved seeing how it all works with her vision apron that showed the internal organs — such a fun and engaging way to learn about our amazing bodies

Pre-K is learning the letter H! 🐴🏠💜
Mrs. Fruits’ class can make an H out of anything and everything! Their creativity and imagination always shine bright each week.

🍁 November — A Month to Be Thankful 🍁
As we enter the month of November, we are reminded of how much we have to be thankful for here at ECC. Our hearts are full of gratitude for the incredible support we receive from our families, our community, and our amazing ECC faculty and staff who make every day brighter for our students. 💛
Each member of our ECC team plays an important role in creating a warm, welcoming, and engaging place for our Littles to learn and grow. From the smiles that greet students at drop-off to the hands that guide them through discovery and play, we truly couldn’t do what we do without this dedicated group.
This season of thankfulness, we’d love to hear from you! 💬
Please take a moment to comment below and share what you’re thankful for — whether it’s a teacher, staff member, or something special about ECC that makes a difference to your family.
Together, we make ECC a wonderful place to be! 🧡

Reminder, Friday, November 7, 2025 is a teacher professional development day. There is no school for students that day. A complete school calendar can be found at www.bristow.k12.ok.us
