✨ Pre-K Learning Fun This Week at ECC! Our Pre-K friends have been busy learning all about the letter N! 👉 Mrs. Mattox’s class got creative by making noodle necklaces while practicing fine motor skills and exploring things that start with N. 🍝💛 👉 Mrs. Mattox and Mrs. Watts’ class put their noses to work during a fun sensory activity! They smelled different scents, worked to match them up, and enjoyed exploring neon noodles for hands-on sensory play. 👃🌈 We love learning through play and engaging all our senses in Pre-K!

📚✨ Second graders stepping up in a BIG way! ✨📚 We love seeing our students grow in confidence and leadership! Today, one of our second graders took on the role of guest reader, sharing a story with younger friends. 💛 Moments like these build confidence, encourage responsibility, and show our younger students just how exciting reading can be. We are so proud of our second graders for being such wonderful role models! 🌟📖

❄️☃️ ECC has SNOW much fun! ☃️❄️ Our kindergarten and T-1 team s are trying really hard to bring on the snow! Mrs. Balenti’s class turned into little scientists as they created a blizzard in a jar, watching the “snowstorm” swirl right before their eyes. 🌨️🔬 Meanwhile, Mrs. Baker’s friends were busy building snowmen, playing in the snow, and crafting beautiful snowflakes—all without the cold fingers! ❄️🎨 Winter fun, hands-on learning, and lots of smiles filled our day! 💙✨

Today Mrs. Lomenick and Mrs. Baker took a special trip to the local Bristow Rt. 66 Toy Museum to mail their Santa letters! The students were so excited for this festive adventure. While they were there, they enjoyed a tour of the museum and took lots of fun photos. After mailing their letters, each child was surprised with a candy cane as a sweet holiday treat. On their walk from the museum back to school they also stopped by the town Christmas tree and the beautiful Rt. 66 mural to take more pictures. It was a wonderful and memorable day for all.

More Kindergarten & T1 Thanksgiving Fun In Kindergarten and T1, our classes enjoyed their own Thanksgiving-themed snacks and mini-feasts. Some groups worked together to make homemade butter, shaking jars of cream as a team and celebrating when it finally turned into a solid. Others enjoyed a Charlie Brown–style Thanksgiving snack, adding a playful twist inspired by a favorite classic. No matter the activity, each classroom shared moments of laughter, teamwork, and friendship—making it a memorable and joyful way to celebrate the season together.

Today in Kindergarten and T1, we gathered in our building’s common area for an early Thanksgiving — our own little Friendsgiving celebration. Students and teachers came together to sing songs, share Thanksgiving stories, and talk about turkeys, Pilgrims, and Native peoples, a little exploring how things were “back in the day.” Two of our beloved teachers who will be retiring this year, Mrs. Lomenick and Mrs. Matherly, helped lead the celebration. Mrs. Lomenick shared stories and taught us songs, while Mrs. Matherly brought lots of laughter with her Thanksgiving jokes. It was a warm, joyful time to come together as a community and celebrate before heading into our Thanksgiving break.
