Mr. Shields the BHS Choir Director, visited the Edison PreK on Friday to talk about music and the banjo! Research shows that incorporating music into the classroom helps calm and energize students!



For Dot Day, which is a day to celebrate creativity, Mrs. O'Brien created a dot installation in the hallway inspired by the artist Yayoi Kusama. Yayoi is known as the Princess of Polka Dot!

BHS Juniors and Seniors attended the Rogers County College Fair. Students visited over 45 schools and got to experience a college campus firsthand.

Mr. Brandt's Life Skills class is learning real life woodworking skills. Last week they worked on raised flower beds and Christmas ornaments.

For the second consecutive year, the Oklahoma aviation high school roster has been established as leading the way with the highest number of schools teaching the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) “You Can Fly” high school curriculum. In the build up to this four day weekend, students were making spaghetti towers that had to support the weight of a marshmallow on its top during a team building activity in Physical Science.

PharmCORP is conducted annually every October on the campus of Southwestern Oklahoma State University College of Pharmacy. It is a day filled with information and hands-on activities for high school students in grades 9 - 12 who are interested in a career in pharmacy.
