It is National Pinata Day! Coach Busch and her P.E. classes constructed pinatas this week and today played a game to destroy them. Of course, they ate all the candy too!
In other news, today started our state testing. Keep them rested up! :)

Students in Ms. Speck's 6th grade English wrote then presented process analysis essays, aka Instructional Essays. We have had students show us how to make slime, elephant toothpaste, oobleck, Pizza Rolls, pancakes from scratch and French Toast. It has been a fun, educational experience.

Monday was an exciting day for our students and the opportunity to view the eclipse 2024. Both teachers and students were in awe!

Bristow Middle School had a great first night of student-led conferences! It is such fun watching students take ownership of their education and sharing with their parents or guardians about their portfolios! Thursday from 4:00 - 7:00 will be the next opportunity to come to our student-led conferences. And as always, you can visit with their teachers too!

Thank you to Cindy Bishop for donating an entire bag of yarn to one of our MS art teachers for a project. You made Mrs. Houser's day!

Students in Ms. Speck's 6th grade English/Writing class have been working on Biographies and Autobiographies. Today, they had a wax museum presentation where students dressed up in character and introduced themselves to others. The students chose a variety of people to represent from Michael J Fox to Sally Ride to Jane Goodall to Anne Frank to Babe Ruth to Katy Perry and even Dolly Pardon. There were so many more and the students had a great time learning about so many people.
