To wrap up National Counselor Week, we celebrated our MS counselors, Mrs. Ponder and Mrs. Plum. They take care of all our staff and students, so we wanted to help them take care of themselves. Thank you for all you do!

This week Coach Busch's Health classes had Detective Sergeant Mason stop by to talk to them. He spoke to the students about the use of drugs from his perspective and reminded them about not only the dangers of drug use but also the long lasting effect it has on someone's record and how that can be problematic for getting the job or career they would like to have some day.
The Shine Society made cards for a 13 year old girl in Colorado who was diagnosed this week with a brain tumor. Her mom said she could use some happy mail. These girls are kind and compassionate! The Shine Society meets Tuesdays after school with Mrs. Plum.
Congratulations to our 6th grade academic team who placed first in their OJABA district competition today!
