The students become "my kids" and each an every one has a piece of my heart". Melody is excited to meet her new students here at Bristow. This year her goal is for her students to have a great classroom experience. She wants the year to pass quickly for them because "time flies when you're having fun"! In her free time she participates in hobbies she enjoys such as all kinds of crafts, especially upcycling home décor and furniture. Her hobbies are usually incorporated into a "side gig". Spotlight on Collins Teachers! Coach Howard "Big Daddy" Moore teaches PE for our students at Collins. He has been in education for 28 years. He is also the High School wrestling coach. Prior to being named the High School coach, he coached Jr. High football. The students love him and look forward to PE. He is a visible part of our community, attending many youth sporting events in addition to his high school responsibilities. Coach loves seeing kids learn a new skill or finally get something they have been working on for a long time. This year, he wants to improve his coaching and teaching by improving his overall communication with students. He wants students to understand that communication and making good choices is their key to a quality education and those skills and attitudes will serve them well in life. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his son, "Little Daddy Moore", golfing, weightlifting, cooking, and coaching anything.

The beauty of teaching in a small town is that I can continue to watch my students grow and thrive throughout their educational journey". This year Beth has a goal of fostering a love of reading in our Collins students by helping them find the right book for each of them. Her philosophy is, "I do not believe students dislike reading. I believe some students simply haven't found the right book yet". Beth's hobbies are reading, traveling, and spending time with her husband, kids, and two grandsons.
