Picture Day is coming!
Collins' students will have pictures taken on Wednesday, October 4th.
Picture order forms and envelopes were sent home.
Mrs. Taff's third graders are learning about oil formation and sediment layers as part of their OERB unit.






Mr. Williams' fourth graders learn about the vascular system of plants.







Mrs. Fechner's fourth graders learn about the predator/prey relationship using owl pellets. We appreciate the agriculture department for providing what the students need for this activity.

Collins Elementary celebrates Talk Like a Pirate Day!
Mrs. Blansett's fourth grade classes participated in a pirate scavenger hunt as part of their Talk Like a Pirate Day activities. Students enjoyed this immensely and we appreciate the hard work Mrs. Blansett put in to provide this activity for her classes.

Fifth graders in Mr. Cook's and Mrs. McGovran's classes participated in a pirate escape room. Students had a lot of fun with this project.










Ahoy! September 19th be Natter (talk) Like A Pirate Day. That's certainly easy fer us here at Bristow Public Schools, home o' the Purple Pirates! Mrs. Aston's class spent time learning and remembering 9/11 on Monday. As part of the day's activities students read a book called "Sirius, The Hero Dog of 9/11". Following the reading Creek County brought in two of their dogs in service for a presentation to students. Students were able to connect these dogs to the service dogs, that helped to save people on 9/11. We appreciate Chief Raney for setting this up and the Creek County officers and K9 unit for their time and service.








Mrs. Darr's homeroom class spent time learning and remembering 9/11 on Monday in their afternoon class with Mrs. Aston. Mr. Williams' Tie Club has started again. These handsome young men are participating and learning life skills. Each Wednesday, they meet as a group with Mr. Williams. This group works on manners, they hold doors, help teachers with tasks, and things that come up in daily life. We appreciate Mr. Williams and his work with students.

Mrs. Blansett's fourth graders had a blast during a balloon and sequencing activity. Each group had to pop their balloons to reveal the clues and then sequence them together to become the winner? Check out that beautiful gym floor!






Mrs. Aston's and Mrs. Darr's 4th graders are intensely competing in a Quizlet challenge. Go 4th graders!!








Ag in the Classroom at Collins. Senator Todd Gollihare came to read to third graders today. He shared "How Many Seeds in a Pumpkin?" and "Pistol the Horse". The students had a great time and responded well to the experience.
