Bristow High School students Ruby Bell, Divinety Johnson, Abby Morgan, and Jamison McNeil took advantage of an opportunity to travel to Oklahoma City and serve as a Page for the Oklahoma State Senate. Pages attend committee meetings, assist with office duties and sit in on daily senate sessions. They also take part in a student mock legislative session where they get hands-on experience debating issues on the Senate floor.
Pages are assigned for one week, Monday through Thursday, during the legislative session that begins the first Monday in February through the last Friday in May. Page program is limited for high school juniors and seniors. Application opens December 1st each year.

The High School Teacher of the Year is Mr. Shannon Hilburn. Shannon has been teaching in Bristow for 21 years. Teaching is what he has wanted to do since he was in 3rd grade. Even after teaching for many years, he continues to learn and use different and unique methods of teaching. Shannon has been the OSSAA Coach of the Year, and has led the track team to 3 state championships and 2 runners-up finishes.
