The passion, patience, and dedication she pours into her students and classes are truly incredible. As a Special Education teacher, she spends countless hours ensuring every student’s needs are met and that they feel supported, valued, and successful. Thank you, Ms. Vasser, for all you do for our students and our school. We are blessed to have you!!!💜💛🏴‍☠️

Congratulations to our incredible 2026 Teachers of the Year! 🍎✨ We are so proud to honor these outstanding educators who go above and beyond for our students, our schools, and the Bristow community every single day.

Here are this year’s site winners:

🌟 Keli Schonfield – Edison Early Childhood Center (Pre-K)
With 23 years of experience, Keli is a master at making learning fun and active for our youngest Pirates. She believes in the power of play and music to engage students and is known for her heart for community service, organizing events like the St. Jude’s cookie sale and the cereal box domino challenge.

🌟 Keli Groves – Edison Elementary (1st Grade)
Keli is dedicated to building a strong foundation of self-confidence in her students. She uses hands-on learning to help children explore and create, always keeping the lines of communication open with families to ensure every child feels supported and cared for.

🌟 Matthew Cook – Collins Elementary (Special Education)
Matthew creates a safe, structured, and predictable environment where his students feel empowered to learn and grow. He draws from his own life experiences to build deep, empathetic relationships with his students and their families, ensuring every child has high expectations and the support to meet them.

🌟 Becky Busch – Bristow Middle School (Physical Education & Health)
Coach Busch is passionate about active learning and connecting students with the community, often inviting local professionals to share their expertise. Whether she’s leading Student Council, coaching on the sidelines, or handing out "big hand" high fives in the morning, her goal is to change "someone’s world" every day.

🌟 Sienna Vassar – Bristow High School (Special Education)
A veteran educator of 25 years, Sienna is a fierce advocate for her students, helping them develop vital life and transition skills. She fosters a classroom culture of mutual respect and kindness, and her dedication extends far beyond the classroom as a mentor to new teachers and a coordinator for various community-based work programs.

Please join us in celebrating these amazing teachers! Thank you for all you do! 💜 #BristowPirates #TeacherOfTheYear #PiratePride #EducationExcellence

Celebrate our incredible 2026 Support Staff of the Year! 🌟

At Bristow Public Schools, we know that it takes a dedicated team to keep our halls running smoothly and our students smiling. These individuals go above and beyond every single day, and we are so proud to recognize their hard work and heart.

Join us in congratulating our winners from across the district:

🏫 Edison Early Childhood Center
Tracy Wilson (Secretary)
Tracy is the definition of a "team player." Whether she’s tackling the job of several people at once or jumping in to help wherever she is needed, she does it all with a willing heart.

🏫 Edison Elementary
Karen Stice (Secretary)
Karen is the "bright smile" of Edison Elementary. Known for her positive outlook, even when things get gloomy, she keeps everyone in line and makes sure every staff member and student feels special.

🏫 Collins Elementary
Martha Lawrence (Custodian)
Martha is a beloved figure at Collins, often called the "nicest adult in the building" by students. From handing out candy canes to wearing her Pirate attire with pride, she makes every student feel important and seen.

🏫 Bristow Middle School
Morgan Hake (Library Assistant)
Morgan’s enthusiasm and adventurous style have brought a refreshing energy to our library. Whether she’s providing expert advice, decorating, or even offering a much-needed cup of coffee, her thoughtfulness never goes unnoticed.

🏫 Bristow High School
Dustin Daniels (Special Education)
Dustin has stepped up in a big way this year, assisting in the resource room and as a co-teacher. He is a true professional who is always willing to assist his colleagues and students.

🏫 Administration / District Wide
Jenny Montgomery (Human Resources)
Jenny is one of the busiest people on campus, yet she always finds time for others. From presenting HR info to senior classes to volunteering for "crazy ideas," her dedication to our staff and students is unmatched.

Help us celebrate these amazing individuals by leaving a comment below! ⚓️💜

✨Family & Consumer Sciences Update:
I have created flyers for middle school students that include QR codes to apply for select classes with limited enrollment. 👀👇🏻

👗We are excited to be adding a brand-new Fashion Lab to our Family & Consumer Sciences classroom!
This dedicated space will allow fashion students to:
✔ Learn fashion design and construction skills
✔ Create projects throughout the year
✔ Showcase their work in our end-of-year Fashion Show

Because space is limited for the MS and Fashion classes, students must apply. We are looking for students who want to grow their skills and make the most of their time at school. These are classes I would have loved to be part of as a student, and I’m so excited our kids now have this opportunity!
